De paardenbloem behoort tot de composietenfamilie, smaakt goed, is vitamine rijk en geneeskrachtig.



Bevat van nature onder andere:
bitterstoffen, flavonoïden, fenolzuren, aminozuren
mineralen: het meest kaliumzouten, koper, ijzer, calcium, chroom, koper, silicium, magnesium, selenium, zink, mangaan, zwavel
vitaminen: vit. A, carotenoïden, B1, B2, choline, C, D, E en K
enzymen, tannines, looistoffen, etherische olie, xantophyl

 

Paardenbloem kan o.a. aan de volgende dieren gegeven worden:

Konijnen, cavia's, knagers, kippen, duiven, vogels, honden en paarden.
Let op: Chinchilla's kunnen niet goed tegen paardebloemen.
Let op: Als de dieren paardenbloem hebben gegeten, dan kan hun urine licht rood kleuren.

 

Aanbevolen dagelijkse hoeveelheid:

Voor knaagdieren en konijnen een klein beetje over het eten heen doen. Een konijn mag ongeveer 1/2 eetlepel aan kruiden etc., per kilo lichaamsgewicht per dag eten.

Recommended daily amount:

For rodents and rabbits, put a little bit over the food. A rabbit may eat about 1/2 tablespoon of herbs, etc., per kilogram of body weight per day.
